This is to be an unforgettable nature experience and an excellent opportunity to extensively test many quality products, for that is the promise to all visitors by the organizers and exhibitors at the first International Days of Bird Watching and Nature Observation in Radolfzell, on Lake Constance, Germany. Titled “Fokus Natur” and coordinated by the Lake Constance Foundation for Nature and Culture, in co-operation with other environmental organizations around Lake Constance, visitors are invited to discover and experience nature at the fair with an extensive additional program, which will be held in the ‘Dreiländereck' (the area where the three countries Switzerland, Germany and Austria meet) from 14 – 16 September 2007.  MINOX will also be at the fair showing its full range of binoculars and spotting scopes!

Visitors can discover and experience nature in a manner that can only be offered in the natural, beautiful and un-spoilt landscape of the area and lakeside of Lake Constance. Here exhibitors representing binoculars, spotting scopes, accessories for cameras and binoculars, outdoors, tourism, and publishing will be presenting their products. Visitors can also take a good look at the MINOX sport optics product range – from the Macroscope to budget and high performance binoculars and spotting scopes - and test these products in both the real and ideal conditions of these idyllic surroundings. The additional program at the fair also includes outings on board the solar-operated ferry “Helio“ as well as lectures and excursions to the nearby nature conservation areas.

“Fokus Natur“ will also be specializing in the use of “digiscoping“.  Digiscoping  is a recent and growing trend in the area of bird of nature observation and photography. This method of photography often uses an everyday common, and readily available compact digital camera which is simply coupled to a telescope to enable shooting of digital photos with an extremely long telephoto focal length (up to 3000 mm in terms of 35 mm format). What is essential is that the camera and ‘scope are perfectly matched with each other. As optical specialists MINOX offers a quality digiscoping set which is ideal for all nature observers who wish to photograph their subjects. The set includes a Minox MD62 ED W spotting scope complete with an eyepiece with 40x magnification (30x ww is an available higher quality option), a ‘digiscope' adapter and a MINOX DC 7011 digital camera.
