PRESS SUMMARY

All about the newly announced Mamiya products and more...Mamiya Digital Imaging is proud to launch this year at Photokina 2008 an adapter for the Mamiya ZD Back and 4 x 5 inch format cameras.

The 4 x 5 adapter has been developed to allow attachment and use between any 4 x 5 inch format camera and our 22 megapixel digital back, the Mamiya ZD Back.
The adapter consists of a ground glass and digital back attachment area which allows smooth and simple sliding during photography. The Waist Level Finder FW402 for RZ is placed over the ground glass. It is essential for preventing unwanted light entering the ground glass, and enables magnified focusing.

Compatible camera bodies: 4x5 inch format cameras which accept a 4x5 sheet film holder  (cameras where the sliding mechanism would be blocked by a supporting brace or arm cannot be used)

Compatible digital backs: Mamiya ZD Back
Parts and functions power switch, sync terminal, warning lamp, pre-release shutter cable
Dimensions: 256mm (W) x 134mm (H) x 42.4mm (D)
Weight: 1,000g

Mamiya Sekor AF 80mm F2.8 D L/S (Prototype)

The Mamiya Sekor AF 80mm F2.8 D L/S will be the first leaf shutter lens in Mamiya's AF lens lineup.
The leaf shutter, which has been developed and manufactured in-house, is capable of shutter speeds from 1/800 second to 16 seconds, and has flash synchronization at all speeds. It allows more control for shooting during the day on location where daylight flash synchronization is required as well as for flash photography in studios. It has also been designed for easy and simple operation when used with the focal-plane shutter system of the 645AFDIII.
The lens has an angle of view of 47 degrees in the 6 x 4.5 format, the equivalent of a 50mm lens in the 35mm format.
As the occurrence of aberration is minimal and balance is of high quality, natural depictions are effectively portrayed. Switching between manual and auto focusing is achieved by simply moving the focusing ring back and forward.

Mamiya Sekor AF 45mm F2.8 D (Prototype)

The Mamiya Sekor AF 45mm F2.8 D lens has been designed with a 16 bit CPU, which provides finer lens characteristic information and faster communication in digital photography when used in conjunction with the Mamiya ZD, 645AFDIII and 645AFDII.
Its construction using low-dispersion glass means that chromatic aberration is minimized, and a floating mechanism ensures that high quality images are achieved evenly from center to periphery.
This lens has an angle of view of 76 degrees in the 645 format, the equivalent to a 28mm lens in the 35mm format. The Mamiya Sekor AF 45mm F2.8 D is especially suited to architectural photography and other subjects dominated by sharp lines.
