Kodak announces imager assembly upgrade for DCS Pro 14n

This upgrade can bring the extended range ISO imaging performance of the DCS Pro SLR/n camera to the DCS Pro 14n. For customers looking for higher ISO performance in their Pro 14n, the cost of the upgrade can be a sensible alternative to a new camera. FAQs

What will the upgrade cost?
Please contact your nearest KODAK PROFESSIONAL Imaging Solutions service center for more details and actual pricing.
Why is Kodak offering an Imager Upgrade to the DCS Pro 14n?
Kodak has a long history of improving digital camera performance and features with each new model. As we design each new model, we consider the practicality of upgrades from the previous models. This is the first camera where an imager upgrade has been practical.
How long will it take to have the Imager Upgraded?
The upgrade must be scheduled with your Kodak Professional service center. After the work is scheduled, it takes approximately 5 working days to complete the upgrade - not including shipping time to and from Kodak.
What is included in the Imager Upgrade?
The Imager Upgrade will include: Imager Assembly, installation labor, camera cleaning, new firmware, a CD of the newest version of KODAK PROFESSIONAL DCS Photo Desk software and return shipping. Kodak will keep the old Imager Assembly.
Will the Imager Upgrade require me to do anything different?
After the Imager Upgrade, the customer will have a new version of firmware loaded in the DCS Pro 14n camera so some of the menu options will be different. Lens optimization settings will no longer be needed. There will be a different ISO settings range for the camera. The customer will be required to load a new version of Photo Desk software onto their computer.
How will this affect my current camera warranty and what is the warranty of the Imager Upgrade?
There will be a minimum 90-day parts and labor warranty on the Imager Upgrade. If the camera warranty expires before the Imager Upgrade warranty, then the Imager Assembly will be warranted for the additional time (the full 90 days). If the Imager Upgrade warranty expires before the camera warranty, then the Imager Assembly will be warranted for the duration of the camera warranty.

Will the Service Maintenance Agreement or Extended Warranty cost change as a result of getting the Imager Upgrade?
No the agreement price will not change as a result of getting an Imager Upgrade.
