A: Correction of the LCD monitor display in firmware version 2.0.0

In the [INFO] screen where you can confirm the details of the camera's settings, the Color Temperature option was not displayed in firmware version 2.0.0. This update corrects that.

In the case of an upgrade from firmware version 1.0.x to 2.0.0, the C.Fn (Custom Function) settings and the file numbers of images were cleared from the camera. They are not cleared in this version 2.0.1 firmware update.

Q: Are in this one?
A: Yes, they are included. The details are as follows:

Firmware version 1.0.1
Improved reliability when using direct printing via USB.

Corrected mistaken Simplified Chinese characters in the MENU screen.
Firmware version 2.0.0

PictBridge support*
By updating your camera's firmware to version 2.0.0, you can add support for PictBridge, which will enable you to print images simply by connecting directly to any PictBridge-compliant printer. For information about how to use the PictBridge functions, please download the manual (a PDF file) at the end of this page. Of course, you can continue to print from Canon's unique camera-direct printers (i.e., BUBBLE JET DIRECT, etc.) just as you always have.

Improvements or corrections to the following:
The release time lag when using Microdrives

C.Fn-04 AE lock operations

Exposure compensation display errors when using the Transmitter ST-E2

*PictBridge

PictBridge is a new industry standard for direct printing that allows you to print images without using a computer by directly connecting digital cameras and digital camcorders to a printer, regardless of the devices' brand and model.
