The camera, which features a 33x44 mm CCD sensor with 40 million pixels and provides almost twice the capture area of the largest 35mm DSLR sensors, is targeted towards high-end 35mm professionals. Hasselblad will be launching the H4D-40 via a series of dealer demonstrations and events in the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The H4D-40 starts at 13995 Euro / 19995 USD / 12995 GBP for camera body, viewfinder, and 80mm lens.
February 4, 2010 - 10.30 GMTRicoh introduces the new CX3 digital camera that is equipped with a back-illuminated CMOS image sensor that significantly increases shooting performance in low-light scenes. In addition, the new CX3 - in contrast with its predecessor, the Ricoh CX2 - uses the noise reduction algorithm introduced on the GR Digital III, additional face-recognition settings and new scene modes to stimulate creative photography. Another new feature in this CX model is the possibility to shoot 1280 x 720 pixel HD movies.
February 3, 2010 - 16.10 GMTNikon releases the Coolpix P100 and L110 zoom models for macro to super-telephoto shooting. The P100 is a high-performance model that offers a pixel count of 10.3-million pixels and a 26x optical zoom lens. A CMOS sensor with backside illumination structure has been adopted for the image sensor for less noise in images captured at night or indoors under dim lighting when high sensitivities are used. The L110 has a pixel count of 12.1-million pixels, a 15x optical zoom lens that covers wide-angle 28mm through super-telephoto 420mm.

The new COOLPIX L22 features an effective pixel count of 12-million pixels, a 3.6x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, a large and clear 3-in. TFT LCD monitor and will be available in four colors. The COOLPIX L21 feautures an effective pixel count of 8-million pixels, a 3.6x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, a 2.5-inch TFT LCD monitor, and will be available in three colors.

The new additions provide a convenient way to capture both videos and photos. The GH2 and CG102 models offer the new “double-range zoom", first seen on the recently announced CG110. The super wide-angle ED 9–18mm offers a 100° angle of view; and has a length of just 49.5mm and a weight of just 155g. The new ED 14–150mm is 65% smaller and 70% lighter than the comparable ED 18–180mm.
